Material Handler (Evening/2nd Shift) APPLY NOW

The Material Handler reporting to Warehouse Manager is responsible for the safe, accurate and timely handling of all incoming and outgoing materials both internally and externally. Using a variety of material handling equipment including Stand-up deep reach forklifts, sit-down counterbalance forklifts, manual pallet trucks and delivery carts, material handlers are required to process all incoming and outgoing materials as required by the operations and QC departments.

Key Accountabilities: 

• Timely issuance of materials to production as per daily production planning schedule
• Sampling of all incoming Raw, Intermediate, and packaging materials upon successful completion of in-house sampling training (20+ Hrs. of training required). These duties reporting to both the Warehouse Manager and the QC department Manager.
• Preparation and loading/unloading of intercompany transfers,
• Receive, unload, and put into storage all incoming materials.
• Loading of outgoing Export containers, gathering appropriate documentation, and recording container temperature conditions as required by Export department
• Process daily cycle counts and assist in investigating discrepancies as per cycle count schedules.
• Performing accurate product movements within ERP(ROSS) to ensure physical material locations match those within Ross, execute bin transfer and warehouse transfers.
• Ensure proper maintenance and usage of equipment and machinery including performing daily pre-trip inspection.
• Perform daily housekeeping duties in accordance with the Warehouse Cleaning schedule (sweep, dust, cardboard, trash
• Perform cycle counts.
• Report non-conforming products and processes to Manager/Supervisor as soon as it is observed.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• Forklift Certification
• Ability to Lift 50 Lbs.
• Good Math Aptitude

Work Environment:

May require working occasional overtime-flexibility of schedule as needed with short notice. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Ability to work in a refrigerated environment

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit, walk, stand, reach overhead, bend, use hands to type or handle, reach with hands and arms and stoop throughout the workday. The employee is seldom required to climb, balance, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
