This plant-sourced, organic unrefined oil blend is designed to provide the ideal 2-to-1 ratio of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids.       Good product but don’t order on line in the summer as they just ship without ice and ship regular post so it could sit in your mailbox if you don’t follow tracking carefully.

Udo's Oil is stable enough to ship unrefrigerated in the summer for up to 1 week, which should generally cover most shipping times. A cold pack will only last 24 hours at the most and may be used if a delay is expected. We recommend receiving the product as soon as able and refrigerating it at that point.

      Best well-balanced oil out there. Only problem with this website is the price is $10 higher than I bought Udos for at my local Natural Food Store. Granted it was on special but this seems exorbitant .

      I prefer the capsules, but cannot find any, is Flora still producing the Oil in capsules? If not right now, can I go on a Wait List for them? Love the product but not keen on taste of oil itself, So capsules best for me.

      We are still making oil in capsules, and I understand if that is your preference, but it will be a little while longer until we can restock them. We would like to go back into production, but we have been trouble sourcing sunflower seeds that meet our Quality Control specifications. We think we have found a small amount, so we will produce some as soon as we can.

      What potency of dha and epa per teaspoon?

      Hi Kim,
      Udo's Oil capsules do not contain EPA and DHA. The omega-3 in them is in the form of ALA, some of which can be converted to EPA/DHA in the body. There is a liquid version of Udo's Oil called Udo's Oil DHA 369 Blend that has 100 mg DHA per tbsp though.

      Thanks for asking.

      So, the Udo's Oil comes in original and DHA versions here in Canada. Those are the only ones I recommend anyway, so if you see another one on US Amazon, you can ignore it.
      The original comes in 3 size options - S, L and XL and the DHA version comes in 2 size options - S and L.

      The original Udo's Oil is an Omega 3+6+9 blend perfect for long term use - it has the essential omega 3 and 6 fatty acids everyone needs, in a ratio high enough in ALA omega 3 to balance the average diet. With it, you'll end up with all the necessary fatty acids for good health, and a tablespoon daily will provide a person of average health with the recommended non-essential omega 3 as well. Most young women or people who eat plant based do great on this formula. There are traces of non-essential but good-for-you fatty acids in it and the foundational fats the body needs to make other derivatives like DHA.

      The DHA version adds extra non-essential DHA and GLA fatty acids to the original blend. These are non-essential but very important nonetheless. Some people take it as 'health insurance' to ensure they get enough of these fatty acids, which can be a good idea if you are not sure if your body will make enough to meet your needs - such as for those who are very young or old, pregnant, nursing, or have symptoms of low DHA (poor memory and focus) or poor metabolic health (diabetes).

      This is one I suggest to most older folks. It will replace fish or algae oil and give them more than a fish or algae oil could, and be 'cleaner' to boot.
