The Non-GMO Project Verified symbol found on products sold in the US, Mexico, and Canada, indicates that a product's ingredients do not contain genetically modified organisms (GMOs).
While Flora tests everything in house to ensure the identity of the plant matter we use, once our products have gone through their assessment, the Non-GMO Project Verified certification lends an additional layer of confidence.
The program’s rigorous certification process involves:
- Stringent provisions for ingredient testing, traceability, and segregation
- A review of production facilities, and test results
- A review by the project's technical advisor, FoodChain
- Receiving a Certificate of Verification (COV), which must be renewed annually.
