NASC upholds a commitment to quality, vigilance, and continuous improvement to elevate and standardize animal health supplements. Members successfully pass a biannual independent third-party audit, and demonstrate ongoing compliance with the following:
- All products comply with all forms of stringent labeling guidelines.
- A quality control manual provides written standard operating procedures to control production processes and ensure the company consistently provides quality products.
- Monitor and assess products in real time with an adverse event/complaint reporting system.
- FDA Center for Veterinary Medicine and NASC Scientific Advisory Committee proposed warnings and caution statements for ingredients are always listed on the label.
- Participate in mandatory annual NASC facilitated training.
- Allow random independent lab testing to ensure product ingredients meet label claims.
